As our Labor and Delivery Agency Registered Nurse, you will help moms safely through the delivery process to bring their healthy babies into the world. Unit Description: Ascension St. Vincent Carmel is a Level III Labor and Delivery unit designed to support high-acuity, collaborative obstetric care. The unit includes 8 Labor and Delivery beds, 2 Operating Rooms, 3 Triage beds, 4 High-Risk Antepartum beds, 25 Mother-Baby beds, and a 16-bed Level III NICU. The hospital is part of a 124-bed facility serving families from northern Marion County, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, and Zionsville. To demonstrate its commitment to mothers and babies, the entire third floor is dedicated to maternity services, with approximately 250 deliveries per month.We follow AWHONN staffing guidelines to ensure safe, evidence-based patient care and maintain 24/7 in-house coverage, including OB Anesthesia, OB Hospitalists, Neonatology, and Pediatric Hospitalists.Our OB services are supported by a robust medical staff of 20+ OB-GYN providers, Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, and Certified Nurse Midwives, ensuring comprehensive, team-based care across the continuum.
