Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Experience License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS Required Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience Required Charting System Experience Required Community Hospital Experience Required Description: Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse. Shifts are 3x12 hours, alternating between day and mid shifts. Every other weekend is required. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Floating within the unit as needed is required. Holidays are required as they fall, as scheduled. Applicants must hold current certifications in BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, and PALS. Experience with the Epic charting system is necessary. Familiarity with handling a patient ratio similar to 4:1 is preferred. Candidates should possess skills in various areas, including acute care, psychosis management, and emergency medications. Experience in managing ventilated patients, IV administration, and EKG interpretation is essential. Ability to manage and apply splints, perform phlebotomy, and conduct triage is required. The department serves a diverse age group, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily patient visits average around 90, with a total of 36 beds available in the unit. Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and pharmacy services. All applicants must have an active license at the time of application.
