Coatings Line Operator - 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY

This production floor position is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the plastic metalizing lines. Monitors all steps in the metalizing process, resulting in overall product consistency, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout the shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for setting up the line per job card requirements, continuous operation of machines, and mixing and replenishment of paint supply. Communicates with team members regarding operating conditions, paint mixture, special problems, etc., that occurred during the shift. Continuously monitors each step of the metalizing process for quality of parts, and performs regular inspections of color, cross-hatching, adhesion, and aesthetic assessment. Cleans machines and performs preventative maintenance. Keeps production team informed throughout the shift on pertinent issues with the processes or parts that could affect production and ensures Take Off team is supplied with raw parts. Maintains a clean line, free of clutter. Stores equipment properly. Performs basic troubleshooting on the line under the direction of the Metalizing Technician and Process Engineering Technician. Properly completes required paperwork regarding parts produced, scrap, and paint consumption, and communicates all pertinent issues throughout shift.
