Location MMH-31 Union Street (10619) Role Overview Clinical Nurse Educator The Greater Manchester Region serves a population of 300,000 people in 19 towns and includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, Rockville General, and additional facilities. Competencies Ability to speak, read, and write in English Bilingual capabilities in Spanish are desirable Advanced math skills in physics to understand and set radiologic exposure Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs all routine radiographic procedures according to department standards, protocols, and guidelines required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the State of Connecticut. Exhibits proficiency in conducting routine radiographic procedures and fluoroscopic exams including gastro‑intestinal studies, ERCPs, arthrography, hysterosalpingography, urography and portable X‑ray equipment including C‑Arm procedures Provides proper clinical patient care while performing diagnostic procedures Provides careful critique and assessment over image quality Exhibits accuracy in computer documentation Mentors students in the clinical and ethical aspects of the Radiologic Technologist profession Maintains stock levels and personal protection equipment of assigned stations Exhibits constant awareness of infection control standards Works cooperatively to accomplish tasks as a member of the team Performs miscellaneous duties as may be required Qualifications Education / Certification High School diploma or GED equivalent Must pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) National Board and hold a State of Connecticut license to practice radiographic procedures or obtain within 3 months of graduation Must obtain mandatory CEU requirements to maintain state licensure on an ongoing basis Must have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire and maintain clinical competency during employment Experience Fully knowledgeable and capable of performing independently in at least two modalities Complete working knowledge of principles of physics, anatomy, medical terminology, sterile technique, and radiation protection as it relates to radiology practice Must meet ECHN age‑specific knowledge/skill requirements and annually complete ECHN’s mandatory education program Benefits Competitive benefits program designed to ensure work/life balance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
