Job Description The Medication Tech/ CNA @ The Cardinal at North Hills is responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence andensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. Medication Technician **Must have a CNA certification** Part Time: 1st (7a-3p) 2nd (3p-11p) ** Pay Range $21/hr - $23 +/hr (MT/CNA Combo) CNA Part Time - Weekends Only 3pm-11pm ** Pay Range $18/hr - $20 +/hr (CNA) CNA: must be licensed in North Carolina verifiable through online registry MT: must be a licensed Medication Aide verifiable through online registry Must be able to provide certificate of completion of 10-hour and 5-hour or 15-hour Medication Technician Certification course (we will certify after 90 days of solid employment) What will I do every day as a MT? Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to supervisor Assist residents with simple requests as needed Document and report changes of condition Provide medication set up and assistance Log in medications from pharmacies, verify physician's orders and communicate any concerns Track all medications and re-order as needed Track residence vital signs, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection, ambulation, etc. What will I need to be successful in this role? Bring a smile to work every day Be a great team player Be a high school graduate Have a completed a Nursing Assistant course (State approved, if required) Special Requirements/Certifications I may need? Must be 21 years of age (or meet state requirements) Have current First Aid and CPR certification Have completed the required training, and/or certification (according to state) for assisting with medications CNA if required by state What's in it for me?
