Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and correspond with Shipper to rectify damages and shortagesRead work orders or follow verbal instructions to move items into and out of storage, Kitting area and/or production areas. Maintain necessary information and record for inventory locations on the computer and ensure appropriate flow with the materials/goods throughout the processPerform cycle counting functions to ensure proper inventory levelsSelect containers for parts or productsPack and seal parts, coils or sections into or onto fabricated containers or skids.Load materials into/onto trucks and install strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transitUse overhead crane and sheet lifter to load and unload sheet metal to maintain proper inventory in NighttrainMonitor and empty scrap tanks as assignedOversee the incoming materials and kitting process to ensure that purchased part kits are complete and meet production requirements. Responsible for receiving and issuing of all material for area.
