Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $20 - $20 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Landscaping Assistant :

• Use hand tools and powered equipment to mow and maintain grounds

• Mow, mulch, aerate, and weed

• Trim and edge around flower beds, sidewalks, and walls

• Mix and spray fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides

• Upkeep sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, or other grounds features

• Maintain clean and organized job sites

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Ability to perform outdoor physical labor in varying weather conditions

• Good physical stamina and endurance

• Ability to lift, carry, and move landscaping materials and equipment

• Basic knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers is preferred

• Ability to safely operate basic landscaping tools and equipment

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision

• Strong attention to detail when planting, trimming, mowing, and maintaining landscapes

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to learn landscaping techniques and maintenance procedures

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and frequently bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods

• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices when handling landscaping tools, equipment, and materials

• Dependable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic

• Maintain clean and organized job sites

• Good verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of proper planting techniques, mulch installation, grading, and basic drainage practices

• Experience installing retaining walls, pavers, patios, and other hardscape elements is preferred

• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs or more on a regular basis and work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Valid driver's license required; experience towing trailers is a plus

• Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality

• Ability to work independently after receiving direction while contributing positively to a team environment

• Commitment to quality workmanship and maintaining a safe job site

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Effective communication and teamwork skills
