The person in this role is responsible for performing accounting tasks in collaboration with internal departments. What You’ll Be Doing Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. Preparing monthly Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold reconciliations Revenue Recognition Assisting with monthly close processes. Performing general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department. Reconciling bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks. Reconciling customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections. Verifying payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts. Providing outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit. Ensuring compliance with GAAP. Performing other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Director of Accounting. We are looking for someone who Has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, or in a related specialization. Has at least 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting, or similar. Is proficient in QuickBooks. Has a working knowledge of accounting standards and regulations. Is highly organized and detail oriented. Possesses strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. Exhibits excellent collaboration and communication skills. Possesses a willingness to learn and a desire to share knowledge within the team Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
