Store ClerkThe Store Clerk will ensure that there is an adequate and timely flow of materials and equipment to support the timely and cost-effective completion of projects and day to day operations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage the orders of material and equipment to meet project requirementsCoordinate the delivery of supplies according to priorities and specificationsMaintain constant contact with vendors and shipping companies while deliveries are in routeCommunicate with vendors and shipping companies to ensure that all critical deliveries arrive on timeReport any pending delivery delays to project management immediatelyResolve problems to speed up delivery of ordersInspect orders upon arrival to ensure the correct quality and quantityMonitor inventory of supplies for different jobs or sitesPlace orders when needed aiming for timely delivery and competitive priceArrange the movement of material between locationsMaintain good relationships with suppliers and vendorsKeep accurate recordsAdditional duties as assigned by managementEducation and/or Experience:Post-secondary educational degree (2 to 4 year degree from college, university, technical school, military, vocational or other advanced educational institution) REQUIREDCandidates are preferred who offer the following:Two years of experience in an industrial manufacturing or construction environmentPrevious forklift experienceLanguage Skills:Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, manuals, regulations, and codesAbility to write business reports and correspondenceAbility to communicate effectively with suppliers, contractors, employees and outside officials to the companyClear, concise oral and written communication skillsMathematical Skills:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, volume, and net present value. Able to apply concepts of algebra and geometry along with basic math (adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing)Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formTechnical Skills:Ability to gather information and perform root cause analysis and problem solvingAbility to create reports for review by upper managementAbility to lead teams in waste reduction effortsComputer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Forklift License or ability to obtain onePhysical Demands:Employee is regularly required to walk, talk, and hearEmployee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, feel; and reach with hands and armsThe employee is occasionally required to sitThe employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 poundsVision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes of airborne particlesThe noise level in the work environment is usually loudPerformance Measurements:Performance will be measured by the adequate and timely flow of materials and equipment to support the timely and cost-effective completion of projects and day to day operations.Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer/Veterans/Disabled.Come Join Our Growing Team!
