From designing resilient highways and iconic bridges to advancing transit, passenger and freight rail, aviation, federal transportation ports and marine infrastructure, your work will directly support economic vitality, public safety, sustainable and resilient communities and quality of life. We bring together planners, engineers, architects, construction management staff, environmental, strategic communications, economists, management consultants and specialists across disciplines to solve complex mobility challenges with innovation, technical excellence, and a deep understanding of community needs. Role: Transportation EIT/Designer We’ll count on you to: Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural transportation projects Take responsibility for plan development of Mobility and Safety projects, including but not limited to Transportation Management Plans, Traffic Signals, and Signing and Delineation Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, quantities and cost estimates, specifications, and calculations Provide assistance with other transportation projects and groups as needed Perform other duties as needed Preferred qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of “Transportation Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression. Able to develop designs using MicroStation, GEOPAK, or other transportation design software packages Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Open Roads Designer. MS Office experience Preference is given to local candidates Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
