Accounting Manager

A well-funded, high-growth AI startup is seeking an Accounting Manager to help build and scale its accounting function during a period of rapid growth. Reporting to senior finance leadership, this role will play a key part in strengthening the month-end close process, improving accounting operations, enhancing internal controls, and building a scalable finance infrastructure. Reporting to senior finance leadership, this role will play a key part in strengthening the month-end close process, improving accounting operations, and building a scalable finance infrastructure. The ideal candidate is both hands-on and strategic, capable of executing day-to-day accounting responsibilities while driving automation and operational improvements that support long-term growth. Own key aspects of the monthly and quarterly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting support Manage core accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, invoicing, and collections Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain well-documented supporting schedules Partner with Finance leadership to improve close efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and support audit readiness Identify opportunities for automation and leverage technology and AI tools to streamline accounting workflows Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Customer Success, and other teams on billing, reporting, and process-related matters Assist with ERP implementations, systems enhancements, and finance transformation initiatives Support special projects and strategic growth initiatives as needed Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience in a startup, high-growth technology, SaaS, fintech, or AI environment Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition, and month-end close processes Experience supporting AR, AP, billing, collections, and general accounting functions Background working with ERP systems and modern finance technology tools Advanced Excel and analytical skills Comfortable leveraging AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and scalability Strong communication and business partnering skills Self-starter with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building processes Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
