**Experience and Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience required. - Community Hospital Experience Preferred. - Travel Experience Required. - Unit Does Not Accept First-time Travelers. **Certifications:** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Required. - BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Required. - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Required. - STEMI Certification Required. - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Required. - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Preferred. - CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Preferred. **Skills and Competencies:** - Required: Conscious Sedation. - Preferred: Triage and Vents. - Essential Skills: Acute psychosis management, Arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Chest tube insertion/management, Continuous IV paralytics, Continuous IV sedation, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) management, Drug overdose management, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Intubation, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, Manage/apply splints, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Managing violent behavior, Non-Trauma Emergency Department experience, Phlebotomy, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Psychiatric Hold, Starting and maintaining IVs, Suicidal patient care. **Licensure:** - MO: Submit without license OK; requires MO or compact. - IL: License in hand required at time of submittal. - Compact: Must match permanent residence. **Additional Notes:** - Navy blue or grey scrubs. - No local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius. - No local travelers allowed, with specific exceptions. **Demonstrated Leadership:** - Previous Charge Experience: Not specified. **Miscellaneous:** - Fit testing required: Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper testing or will be expected to shave. No exceptions.
