Position Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Java Developer with 3+ years of hands-on Core Java and Java/J2EE development experience. This position will contribute to the design, development, testing, and enhancement of business-critical applications.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and application development frameworks. Experience with concurrent or multithreaded applications, performance tuning, desktop applications, or financial/trading systems is a plus.

This is a hybrid position based in Ann Arbor, Michigan , requiring onsite work 3-4 days per week.
Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Core Java and Java/J2EE development experience, including client-side and server-side development
• Experience with object-oriented analysis and design (OOA/OOD)
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns , including GoF patterns
• Experience developing and maintaining core business logic within applications
• Experience developing APIs and application frameworks
• Experience with relational database systems
• Experience working in Agile and test-driven development (TDD) environments
• Experience with application frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, JSF , or similar technologies
• Experience with UI technologies or frameworks such as AngularJS, jQuery, HTML5, Swing, JavaFX , or similar
• Experience working with Unix/Linux, Windows, and/or macOS
• Experience with build, deployment, testing, or CI/CD tools such as Maven, Gradle, Ant, Jenkins, TeamCity, JUnit , or similar
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing downloadable desktop applications
• Experience with concurrency and multithreading
• Experience with distributed systems, real-time processing, or messaging systems
• Experience with Java performance tuning, garbage collection, and application scaling
• Experience in the financial services or trading domain

Work Authorization

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship . This position is available on a W2 basis only . Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements are not available.

Candidates must be able to work onsite in Ann Arbor, MI, 3-4 days per week . Relocation assistance is not available.
