Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Obtain and record initial patient assessments; establish priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Re-assess patients to monitor progress and trends; intervene as needed
• Develop and implement individual care plans within the Nursing Standards of Care
• Make informed nursing decisions based on patient outcomes; adjust plans as necessary
• Participate in health education and discharge planning
• Implement and document timely interventions suited to patient needs
• Conduct various Point of Care testing procedures
• Utilize effective communication strategies to achieve desired outcomes
• Delegate assignments to ensure completion of care activities

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS and ACLS Certification via AHA required
• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing
