Registered Nurse - First Assist (RNFA)

Role Overview: This position involves performing as a first assistant in the operating room, collaborating with surgeons to provide direct patient care during surgical procedures. The RNFA works alongside the surgical team, analyzing preoperative assessments, assisting intraoperatively, and monitoring patient responses to modify care plans accordingly. Responsibilities include: Delivering intraoperative patient care as a team member, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and efficiency. Administering medications per nursing standards and developing individualized perioperative care plans. Evaluating patient progress, participating in professional development, and integrating research and ethical practices into patient care. Collaborating with healthcare providers and supporting patient and family education throughout the perioperative process. Qualifications and Skills: Minimum of a Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing. 2-5 years of nursing experience; RN licensure required. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Certified First Assistant, and CNOR certification.
