Job Description & Requirements TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for an immediate travel opening in Houston, Texas. Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 9 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate and passed to physicians for medical interpretation. You will also prepare and care for patients undergoing radiologic testing. Tasks Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required. Follow orders from physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging. Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position. Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure by taking appropriate protection precautions. Calibrate imaging equipment. Prepare results for physician review. Maintain accurate patient records. Understand and use the McKesson PACS system. Requirements Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required. Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Requirements: ARRT (R), BLS, 2 Years.
