In this position, you will join our Manufacturing Operations Organization within the Aeronautics Systems sector as a Manufacturing Technician 2 supporting our Iuka, MS site. We’re seeking a hands‑on professional with exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, and outstanding interpersonal skills. This position may be filled at varying shift times including weekdays, nights, and weekends (shift differential paid during eligible shifts). Shift Schedule Mon–Thu 7am–5:30pm (A Shift) Mon–Thu 5:30pm–4am (B Shift) Fri–Sun 7am–7:30pm (C Shift) Fri–Sun 7pm–7:30am (D Shift) Essential Functions Read and understand blueprints. Translate blueprints into fabrication of structural assemblies, including precision drilling, countersinking, and calibrated tools. Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. Perform part‑fitting operations: filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Measure parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. Modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to the structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems. Use appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor. Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectiveness. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years of experience in hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, and/or maintenance environment. Ability to perform moderate strenuous and repetitive work: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period; U.S. citizenship required for clearance. Must successfully complete and pass the "ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance" within a reasonable time period defined by the company. Must be able to work any shift. Preferred Qualifications Current or active U.S. Government Secret level clearance. Experience in aerospace manufacturing. Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools (drills, grinders, sanders, cutting wheels, saws, tape measures, scales, micrometers, dial calipers). Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications, and operating procedures. Experience working to electronic or written instructions. Ability to read engineering drawings. Salary The primary level salary range is $39,800.00 – $66,300.00. This range is a guideline; Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers. Benefits Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for long‑term incentives.
