Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract / Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting across a variety of acuity levels
• Perform and assist with procedures including conscious sedation, intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis management, stroke care (TPA administration), and chest pain/heart alert protocols
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Adhere to all facility dress code, attendance, and unit-specific guidelines and policies

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License – Temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Current NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) designation
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a high-acuity clinical environment
