• Beds: 30

• Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of ICU exp

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Can see any diagnosis except Cardiac Surgical - Sepsis, ARDS, GI Bleeds, DKA, Cardiac Arrest, Withdrawal, Renal Failure, etc.

Patient Ratios:

• RN: 1:1-2 (Day & Night)

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Skills required:

• RN: Critical care gtts experience insulin, vasopressors, sedation, management of invasive lines (ART/CVP), Cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, ventilator management, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, etc.

Support within the Department:

• CNA (Ratios dependent on census/staffing) patient care (ADLs/Vitals/Nutrition/Blood sugar checks) and mobility
• No Receptionist/HUC
• Charge nurse
• Clinical Supervisor daily to act as Resource for team
• Phlebotomy, 24/7
• IV/VAT Team, 24/7
• Pharmacist dedicated to unit
• Case Manager x 2 per unit
• MedSurg Clinical Nurse Specialist
• RT 24/7 will perform Nebulizer treatments
• Nurse Educator
• Hospitalist, 24/7
• Intensivist until 12am and then virtual/on call critical care MD
• No remote Tele Monitoring - Unit Clerk, Charge/Clinical Supervisor and Staff are responsible to read and post every shift
