About Jerritt CanyonThe Jerritt Canyon deposit was discovered in 1972, and the first gold production from the property occurred in 1981. The Jerritt Canyon property contains 30,821 hectares of mining claims located in the mining-friendly state of Nevada. First Majestic acquired the Jerritt Canyon Gold Mine from Sprott Mining Inc. on April 30, 2021. In May 2023, operations were suspended to prioritize exploration and technical studies. Jerritt Canyon is now entering a new phase of evaluation and planning, requiring substantial technical support to advance the work necessary for a potential future restart of operations.The OpportunityThe Site Services Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical assistance and maintenance for fire related systems including sprinklers, hydrants, pipelines and pumps; weld steel pipe and fabricate; operate boom truck, forklift and other equipment as needed. The Site Services Technician will help to maintain reliable site functionality, minimizing downtime and supporting overall operational efficiency. ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain the facilities which include, but are not limited to wells, pipelines, flow meters and pressure gauges.Responsible for accurate documentation of inspections.Support the construction facility maintenance crews.Coordinate with managers, engineers, and other technicians to plan and complete service tasks.Maintain parts, tools and equipment inventory and order replacements as requested. Train site personnel on how to properly use and maintain equipment. Operate heavy and mobile excavation equipment when requested including but not limited to boom truck, dozer, forklift, backhoe, overhead crane, fusion welders and trucks.Complete preventative maintenance packets, work orders, and technical work completed.Accurately read blueprints for facilities.Work with HVAC technicians to perform needed repairs.The above responsibilities are representative and may not include all assigned duties.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED, with 2-4+ years of hands-on field experience.Perform preventative maintenance on fire systems, piping, and pumps. Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and alarm panels. General construction related experience including plumbing is preferred. Some experience with PLC controls, troubleshooting, and programming is preferred.Basic computer and software skills are required.Experience operating and troubleshooting pumps and piping problems required.Basic Mechanical skills required. Ability to walk on uneven ground in all weather conditions required.Ability to support group work in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven safety record required.
