Infrastructure Administrator - Enterprise Storage - 170807

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Storage Administrator to support a mission-critical data center environment for a federal customer on-site in Fort Belvoir, VA . Responsibilities of the Storage Administrator: Administer and maintain enterprise SAN and NAS storage environments, including provisioning storage, managing LUNs and volumes, and monitoring capacity and performance Configure and support RAID, snapshots, replication, and storage performance tuning activities Troubleshoot storage connectivity, multipathing, performance bottlenecks, backup failures, and restore operations Support Windows and Linux servers connected to enterprise storage platforms Collaborate with systems, network, database, backup, and cybersecurity teams to ensure storage availability and reliability Perform storage upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities in accordance with change management processes Participate in on-call rotations and scheduled maintenance windows Develop automation solutions to improve storage administration and operational efficiency Qualifications of the Storage Administrator: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience administering enterprise storage environments Hands-on experience supporting SAN and/or NAS platforms, including NetApp storage solutions Experience with storage provisioning, LUN and volume management, RAID configuration, snapshots, replication, and performance tuning Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux servers with attached storage, including multipathing and file system management Experience with backup and recovery technologies such as Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, Cohesity, or similar tools Knowledge of storage monitoring and troubleshooting tools Active Security+ Certification required Active TS/SCI Clearance required Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications of the Storage Administrator: Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or vendor-specific automation tools and APIs Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms Exposure to cloud and hybrid storage environments, including AWS and Azure Compensation of the Storage Administrator: $58.00 - $69.00/hr Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off, and Federal Holidays Fast interview process with feedback typically provided within 48 hours Keywords: #LI-RL1 #LI-Onsite Storage Administrator, Enterprise Storage, SAN, NAS, NetApp, ONTAP, Storage Administration, Storage Provisioning, LUN Management, Volume Management, RAID Configuration, Snapshots, Replication, Storage Performance Tuning, Capacity Planning, Storage Monitoring, Storage Troubleshooting, Windows Server, Linux Administration, Multipathing, File Systems, Backup and Recovery, Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, Cohesity, Data Center Operations, Incident Management, Change Management, Storage Connectivity, Performance Analysis, VMware, Hyper-V, Virtualization, Cloud Storage, AWS, Azure, PowerShell, Bash, Python, Storage Automation, Infrastructure Support, Security+, TS/SCI Clearance #J-18808-Ljbffr Zachary Piper Solutions
