React Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team focused on building scalable, user-centric applications that support critical business operations. This role is heavily focused on React development, frontend architecture, testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate is a strong frontend engineer who is passionate about building modern web applications, writing quality code, and partnering closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders. Candidates must be willing to relocate to or be located in Bentonville, AR to work alongside the team in-office and facilitate onboarding and ongoing collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain modern React-based web applications

Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable frontend components

Partner with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality features

Write and maintain robust unit and functional tests

Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices

Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality

Troubleshoot production issues and support ongoing application enhancements

Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on React.js development

Strong experience building responsive, scalable web applications using:

React

JavaScript / TypeScript

HTML5

CSS3

Experience developing and maintaining reusable UI components

Strong understanding of frontend architecture and state management

Hands-on experience with:

Unit Testing

Functional Testing

Test automation best practices

Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services

Exposure to AI-assisted development tools or experience leveraging AI in software development workflows Full Stack development experience

Java development experience

Spring Boot experience

Experience developing or supporting microservices

Previous Walmart experience (while meeting Walmart's 6-month disengagement policy requirements)

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
