Location : Chico CA 95926
Duration : 13 weeks
Pay-rate : $40-$43/hour
Shift :10-hr shifts, Varied shifts
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist to support surgical teams in delivering safe, high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will assist with surgical procedures in the main operating room and may be required to support outpatient same-day surgery services as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and properly arranged.
- Assist surgeons and other surgical team members during procedures by providing the necessary instruments and supplies.
- Maintain sterile fields and follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Handle surgical instruments and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transportation as required.
- Monitor and maintain the sterility of surgical supplies throughout procedures.
- Follow established patient safety standards and operating room protocols.
- Support surgical services across inpatient and outpatient settings as needed.
- Minimum of one year of recent hospital experience as a Surgical Technologist or graduation from an accredited Operating Room Technician program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and operating room procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
