Senior Developer C# - Fixed Income (Bonds & Repo)

About the Role

Our client, a leading global investment bank based in New York City , is hiring a Senior Front Office Fixed Income Developer to join the technology team supporting the Repo & Bonds trading desk .

You will work on a critical in-house trading application used daily by Front Office stakeholders, with high visibility and direct impact on trading workflows, pricing, risk and execution.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced developer who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced Front Office environment , partnering closely with Traders, Sales, and Desk Strategists .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance an in-house Fixed Income trading platform supporting Repo & Bonds activity
• Build new features and improve performance, stability, and user experience of Front Office tools
• Partner directly with traders and desk stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions quickly
• Contribute to core components such as:
• trade booking & lifecycle workflows
• pricing / curve & analytics integration
• real-time monitoring dashboards
• risk and P&L views
• automation of manual desk processes
• Own the full development lifecycle: architecture, development, testing, release, and production support
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Risk, Middle Office, Quant, QA, Infrastructure) to ensure end-to-end delivery

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of software development experience (or equivalent), ideally in capital markets
• Strong expertise in C# / .NET in a production environment
• Proven experience supporting Front Office users (trading desk exposure is required)
• Excellent understanding of software engineering best practices:
• OOP / SOLID principles
• performance optimization
• system reliability and maintainability
• clean architecture and design patterns
• Strong communication skills, able to translate business needs into technical delivery
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with short delivery cycles

Fixed Income / Markets Knowledge (Expected)

• Strong familiarity with Fixed Income products , ideally:
• Repo (GC / specials, triparty, funding workflows)
• Bonds (government, corporates, IG/HY basics)
• Understanding of key Front Office concepts such as:
• trade lifecycle & confirmations
• market data & curves
• risk measures
• P&L drivers
• pricing / yield / spreads
