The nurse will be part of a unit with 7 rooms and an average daily census of 10 patients. The role includes the possibility of floating to various units as needed. Weekend availability is required every other weekend. On-call duties may be applicable depending on patient census. The nurse will assist with deliveries and provide support to mothers and newborns. Clinical skills required include administration of medications, monitoring fetal heart rates, and providing postpartum care. Applicants should have experience in high-risk deliveries and should be comfortable performing sterile vaginal exams. This role includes a commitment to working holidays, as specified in the contract. References from previous employers will be required. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as necessary. Applicants should be prepared to submit documentation of their experience and qualifications.
