Electrician

Responsibilities Perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electric energy. Locate, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment to a component level using a variety of tools, measuring and testing instruments. Install, repair and maintain a variety of electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards, lighting and controllers, power distribution units, circuit breakers, motors, VFD, heating units, conduit systems, and other electrical components. Work with and without blueprints, drawings, layouts, schematics or other specifications to make repairs, and upon job completion provide as‑built drawings. Test and replace lead‑acid batteries for UPS and other equipment. Work primarily on 480 V or less systems and equipment; occasionally perform closed‑door switching on metal‑clad medium‑voltage (13.8 kV) equipment. Use test equipment such as multimeters, rotation meters, micro‑ohm meters, and other diagnostic tools to validate repairs. Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping of all work areas. Qualifications Certified with extensive knowledge and experience with all types of electrical equipment, distribution systems and practices. Experience in maintenance practices and proven troubleshooting ability. Valid state of Colorado Journeyman Electrician’s license and graduate of a state‑certified electrical apprentice program. Minimum of 8 years of construction and facility maintenance work experience within the electrical trade discipline. Desired Skills Ability to work in a team setting, good verbal and computer skills, proven maintenance and troubleshooting experience, high quality work and a propensity for patience. Experience with generators, UPS and low‑voltage switchgear including draw‑out circuit breakers is a plus. Security Clearance & Eligibility This position requires a government security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance level: TS/SCI. Schedule & Location Onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Schedule: 9×80 with every other Friday off.
