Robert Half is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals practice. This is a permanent, full-time, onsite role where you will represent Robert Half as an employee, working onsite with clients on exciting accounting projects

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management

Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

Support audit requests and prepare necessary documentation

Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency

• Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role with responsibility for core general ledger activities.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return support within an accounting environment.
• Ability to analyze financial data accurately and prepare organized reports for business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with month-end close processes, internal controls, and audit support documentation.
• Proficiency using accounting systems and spreadsheet tools to manage financial information effectively.
• High attention to detail, sound problem-solving ability, and strong organizational skills.
