The candidate will work on a night shift schedule. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses. Daily census typically ranges from 10 to 13 patients. The unit operates with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5. Responsibilities include managing various medical tasks such as administering blood products and IVs. Experience with charting systems, particularly Allscripts, is preferred. Additional skills needed include managing central lines, feeding tubes, and isolation precautions. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy and respiratory services. The position requires a willingness to float as needed and take part in weekend shifts. Candidates must complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting the offer. A drug screen is mandatory upon arrival, which includes testing for substances. All candidates should ensure they are compliant with drug screening policies prior to arrival. Previous permanent staff must have been away for one year to be eligible for this position. Travel experience is appreciated, and familiarity with specific medical procedures is advantageous.
