About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as its chief executive officer, responsible for the organization's overall leadership, management, and strategic direction. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Board of Directors to advance the company's mission, with a focus on strengthening member engagement, growing revenue through membership and sponsorship programs, and ensuring the long-term financial health of the organization. This role demands a strategic, collaborative, and highly organized leader who can provide both long-term vision and day-to-day execution in a small, mission-driven setting. The Executive Director will also be the primary ambassador for the organization, promoting it within the legal and broader community. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a background that includes at least five years of senior nonprofit leadership experience, with a proven track record in organizational leadership, strategic planning, membership development, sponsorship development, and revenue generation. Experience in a member-driven organization such as a professional society, bar association, or trade association is highly desirable. The role requires strong financial management skills, exceptional communication, and relationship-building abilities, as well as a high level of emotional intelligence and the capacity to build trust with diverse constituencies. Familiarity with the local community and an advanced degree in a related field are preferred, and the ideal candidate will be a resident of the area or neighboring Bay counties.
