About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Nurse Practitioners to provide senior leadership and strategic direction in the integration of professional practice standards, evolving models of care, and health human resources workforce strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading nurse practitioner strategic planning, role and practice development, and ensuring the sustainability and quality of NP practice. This role requires a collaborative approach, promoting interprofessional practice, and a culture of continuous quality improvement. The Executive Director will also be accountable for specific and measurable goals, spearheading integrated clinical strategy, and advocating for initiatives that enhance models of care and improve patient outcomes. Applicants must have a Doctoral (DNP/PhD) degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner, with at least 10 years of recent, related, and progressively senior clinical leadership experience. The role demands a deep understanding of provincial legislation, health statutes, and regulations related to patient care, safety, and quality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading professional practice, program management, and change management within a large health organization. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and innovation abilities are essential, as is the capacity to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners. The Executive Director will be expected to maintain a clinical Nurse Practitioner practice and be eligible for active membership on the medical staff.
