Oncology Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location: New Hampshire

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours guaranteed per week.

Job Description: The Oncology Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients with cancer-related impairments to improve their quality of life and mobility. The therapist is responsible for creating individualized, evidence-based exercise programs, providing patient education, and coordinating care with oncologists. Responsibilities include managing musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiovascular needs across the cancer continuum from diagnosis to rehabilitation, survivorship, and palliative care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform 60-minute patient evaluations and treatment sessions (typically 30-45 minutes).
• Provide physical therapy interventions to help patients build strength, regain mobility, and improve balance.
• Address pain, fatigue, lymphedema, and functional limitations related to cancer.
• Design and implement individualized exercise programs based on patient needs.
• Coordinate and communicate care with oncologists and other healthcare providers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2+ years of current Physical Therapy experience - No New Grads.
• Oncology experience and outpatient orthopedic experience required.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
• Active New Hampshire Physical Therapy license must be in hand at profile upload.
• EPIC and Expro experience required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
