Manufacturing Engineer 2

Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support to the Operations Team in the areas of efficiency, production line layout/flow, continuous improvement projects and support of day to day manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Refine and update existing documentation.- Assist with training and technical support of Operations personnel- Assist with CAPA investigations and Corrective Actions- Support Lean initiatives such as 6S, Daily Accountability process- Support/lead continuous improvement projects- Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization- Must strictly adhere to safety requirements- Maintain regular and punctual attendance- Must maintain company quality and quantity standards- Must have effective oral and written communication skills- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field

• Minimum 3 years experience required

• Experience and understanding of manufacturing processes• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles

• Intermediate MS Office skills - Excel, Word, PP and Visio

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.- Work is performed in a normal office environment with periodic work performed in a controlled manufacturing area requiring protective clothing and safety glasses.
