This role is designed for nurses with a strong critical care foundation who value clinical variety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous learning. In this role, you will:Provide direct patient care to high acuity ICU patients, including those requiring advanced monitoring, ventilatory support, and vasoactive medicationsFloat between adult critical care units based on patient needs, staffing requirements, and your validated competenciesCollaborate closely with intensivists, fellows, residents, advanced practice providers, and experienced ICU nursing teamsApply strong assessment skills, clinical judgment, and prioritization in fast paced and complex situationsSupport patients and families through critical illness with professionalism, clarity, and compassionOpportunities for all shifts, full and part-timeWhat an average day may look like: You may begin your shift in one ICU today and be assigned to a different Critical Care unit tomorrow. You will integrate quickly into the care team’s, managing complex patients and contributing meaningfully from the start. Throughout the shift, you will rely on your critical care expertise, adaptability, and communication skills to deliver safe, high-quality care while navigating different unit workflows and patient populations. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire. Experience: 1 year of relevant experience. Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
