Performance Manager

This is an opportunity to build on your people management experiences in an important role within our critical water infrastructure network. From our Ashford and Kempton sites, every day we provide London and the surrounding areas with high-quality, fresh drinking water. This role will require you to lead and develop a team of operatives as well as manage the performance of two of the main slow sand filter treatment processes for producing clean drinking water for London. The role also requires you to safely achieve specific operational outputs to the required standards across the business, within budget and deadlines. What you’ll be doing as a Performance Manager - Slow Sand Filters This role will involve: Managing a team of Slow Sand Filter Operators and a Working Supervisor to perform effectively against internal and external targets. Controlling and auditing site activity, ensuring the safety of the team, contractors and other third parties through the consistent application of company Health & Safety policy. Analysing data to inform site performance and planning decisions. Preparing reports and presentations for key stakeholders as required. Ensuring the team are in line with production plans and service agreements are met. Managing budgets and cost to ensure you are meeting and exceeding financial targets while maintaining quality. Ensuring the continued operability of the Slow Sand Filter team’s mobile plant, by certifying effective maintenance, escalating faults and working with the mobile plant maintenance contractors. Base Location – Ashford Water Treatment Works (TW15 1RU) Working Hours – 38 hours per week ( with and out of hours management roster.) Salary - £38,000 to £45,000 depending on skills and experience What should you bring to the role? To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are: - Previous experience managing and supporting a team whilst coordinating team activity. The ideal candidate will be someone who can develop and encourage people within a team setting. - Strong analytical skills with experience of understanding and interpreting data to create change and make decisions. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. Confident in your ability to present key findings and liaise with managers of all levels. - Excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and demonstrable ability of managing workload under pressure. - Health and Safety, stakeholder engagement and customer focus is essential. - Due to the nature of the role, a valid, UK driving licence is required.
