Key Responsibilities Instruction & Test Prep Delivery Deliver engaging, targeted SAT prep lessons in Reading & Writing and/or Math aligned to the current digital SAT format. Teach test-taking strategies, time management, process of elimination, and question-type recognition alongside core content. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies (including SAT-specific platforms) to enhance student performance. Manage a classroom of 20+ scholars in a focused, high-energy environment. Assessment & Score Growth Administer and analyze regular practice tests to identify student strengths, weaknesses, and score trends. Use diagnostic data to personalize instruction and target the highest-leverage skill gaps. Provide timely, specific feedback to help students improve section scores and overall performance. Maintain accurate records of student practice scores, progress, and readiness. Classroom Management Establish and enforce classroom norms and procedures that support focused, test-like conditions. Communication & Collaboration Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians about score progress, pacing, and strategies for at-home practice. Collaborate with fellow teachers, school leaders, and college counseling staff to align SAT prep with broader college readiness goals. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree before your first day of work with Success Academy (a background in education is not required). Strong command of SAT Math and/or Reading & Writing content and strategy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for learning and an unwavering commitment to student development. Ability to work in person in New York City.
