This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who enjoys solving challenging mechanical problems, working directly with customers, and sharing their expertise with other technicians.What You'll DoDiagnose & Service Commercial HVAC SystemsTroubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment and mechanical systemsService equipment including DOAS units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and water-side HVAC systemsPerform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability, performance, and efficiencyIdentify system issues and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutionsRead and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manualsWork independently to resolve complex service issues in the fieldDeliver Quality ServicePerform repairs and maintenance according to manufacturer requirements, industry standards, and company expectationsVerify proper system operation following repairs and serviceIdentify potential equipment concerns before they lead to larger system failuresMaintain a high standard of workmanship on every service callComplete work orders, service reports, and required documentation accurately and on timeParticipate in the on-call rotation as requiredSupport Our CustomersCommunicate professionally with customers regarding equipment conditions, recommended repairs, and completed workExplain technical issues and solutions clearly to facility personnel and other customer contactsRecommend repair, replacement, and system improvement opportunities when appropriateBuild strong customer relationships through responsive and reliable serviceRepresent Anderson Mechanical Services professionally at customer facilitiesLead Through ExperienceServe as a technical resource for less experienced Service TechniciansAssist with troubleshooting complex HVAC and mechanical issuesMentor and support technicians as they develop their technical skillsShare field knowledge and best practices with the Service teamPromote a team-oriented culture focused on safety, quality, and customer serviceWhat You BringJourneyman HVAC License required5+ years of commercial HVAC service experienceStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across commercial HVAC systemsExperience servicing several of the following:DOAS (Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems)ChillersCooling towersPumpsWater-side HVAC systemsAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentationAbility to work independently and make effective troubleshooting decisions in the fieldStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to safely perform the physical requirements of commercial HVAC service workValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordPreferred ExperienceEPA Universal CertificationManufacturer certifications or factory training on commercial HVAC equipmentExperience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controlsExperience troubleshooting and servicing multiple brands of commercial HVAC equipmentExperience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other Service TechniciansWhat We Offer$50–$60 per hour based on experience and qualificationsFour-day, 10-hour (4/10) workweek with a guaranteed 40 hoursCommission opportunities on sold repair and replacement quotesMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidaysOngoing technical training and professional development opportunitiesOpportunities for continued career advancement within a growing mechanical organizationA supportive, team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfactionWhy Anderson Mechanical Services?At Anderson Mechanical Services, our Service Technicians are essential to the relationships we build with our customers.
