Maintenance Manager

Job at a Glance We’re opening a brand new facility with 40,000 sq ft of office space and 380,000 sq ft of distribution center space. The facility is equipped with miles of brand new conveyor and a goods‑to‑person picking system. As the Facility & Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all aspects of maintenance and repairs at the office and the distribution center. You will be responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities over a wide range of material handling and facility equipment to support safe and efficient operations. This role will require a mix of hands‑on maintenance work and coordination with vendors to service and maintain our equipment. You will lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians. Typical Day You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on distribution center material handling systems and corrective maintenance on facility equipment. You will correctly identify and resolve problems with facility and material handling equipment. Support a safe work environment by addressing equipment‑related safety concerns. Determine when outside contractor support is needed and coordinate repairs and maintenance work with 3rd parties. Assist with forklift training and maintain OSHA‑required documentation. You will build effective relationships with 3rd‑party vendors and work closely with DC leadership team to address operational maintenance and safety issues promptly. Maintain preventive maintenance records. Supervise and lead maintenance and facilities team. Qualifications 3 years of previous experience working with electrical, mechanical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and the ability to troubleshoot issues. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform up to 8 hours of standing, bending, lifting, walking, and carrying products in combination at any given time. Mastered balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
