Senior AI and Innovation Counsel

Overview A law firm seeks a Senior AI and Innovation Counsel in Houston, Texas. This role involves integrating AI into legal practice and driving its adoption across the firm. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to enhance legal services through technology. Responsibilities Embed within priority practice groups to encourage AI tool adoption. Validate AI outputs to meet professional and client standards. Translate attorney needs into actionable requirements. Integrate AI tools into existing workflows for improved efficiency. Develop high-value use cases based on legal practice experience. Partner with teams to map matter lifecycles and identify automation opportunities. Support rapid prototyping and testing of new workflows. Manage and mentor a team of AI and innovation lawyers. Build trusted relationships with partners and attorneys. Requirements JD required. Minimum seven years of experience as a practicing attorney or in KM/Innovation. Deep understanding of legal workflows and delivery. Experience with legal technology and project management. Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive organizational change. Excellent communication skills for translating requirements into solutions. Understanding of data privacy, security, and responsible AI considerations. Education Juris Doctor (JD) Certifications None specified Skills Strong legal practice background.
