Comprehensive Otolaryngology Position

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport seeks applicants for a Comprehensive Otolaryngology position in a vibrant Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. Must be board certified/board eligible in Otolaryngology and be eligible for an active Louisiana medical licensure. This is a full-time, academic position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor that offers a competitive and desirable compensation/benefits package commensurate with training, experience, and market demand. The Department of Otolaryngology/HNS at LSU Health Shreveport is expanding rapidly and seeking board certified/board eligible applicants to join a vibrant department with a good work/life balance. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in patient care, teaching medical students and residents, and clinical research if desired. Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport is a tertiary care center and level 1 trauma center. It is the only academic center in Northwest LA and draws patients from the Tristate area of Louisiana, East Texas, and South Arkansas (Ark-La-Tex region). Shreveport is an attractive, comfortable Southern city with excellent schools, restaurants and multiple cultural opportunities.

Highlights of the position:

Our health sciences center is home to the School of Medicine, School of Graduate Studies and School of Allied Health Professions and a robust research enterprise. More than 800 students are enrolled in the degree programs at any one time. Additionally, nearly 600 residents and fellows are trained each year.
Home to the only Level I Trauma center in the surrounding region, and one of only two in the state.
Collegial and multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to collaborate on a customized plan of care for each patient.
Physician leadership and input at all levels of administration.
