Transformer Design Specialist

Our client is a well-known manufacturer in Memphis, TN, specializing in products for the electric power line industry, seeking a Transformer Design Specialist.ResponsibilitiesThe Transformer Design Specialist will oversee the creation and enhancement of new products for the electric utility sector, as well as supervise engineering tasks related to product maintenance.• Create new product designs, drawings, and specifications• Evaluate and suggest specifications to ensure products meet requirements• Analyze proposed product changes• Conduct testing to ensure functionality and quality• Manage prototype development and testing• Assist in the approval of engineering drawing changes• Recommend efficient procedures• Write test reports for internal and external use• Collaborate with engineering team to meet project milestones and timelines• Provide technical support to Field SalesRequirementsQualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent• 5-10 years of engineering experience• Proficiency in 3D modeling software• Strong communication skillsPreferred:• Experience in electric utility product lines• Background in a manufacturing environment• Proficient in 3D modeling software like SolidWorks or ProE• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
