Designer / Drafter

Our client is a cryogenic and vacuum equipment designer, manufacturer and supplier to national laboratories, defense and launch facilities. Our client is seeking a highly qualified person to fill the role of Drafter/Designer. This is a six month contract to hire position.
Responsibilities:- Design/Draft cryogenic piping and process equipment
- Create shop drawings from models
- Provide manufacturing support
- Design and development of engineered products
- Analyze and suggest design improvements in existing products
- Provide technical assistance to customers and prospects
- Other duties as assigned
- Applicable technical degree (experience in a similar professional position will be considered in lieu of a degree)
- Familiarity with ASME B&PV Code and B31.3 Pipe Code
- CAD skills consisting of Autodesk product suite and Solid Modeling using Inventor
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
- Ability to work effectively with other departments, external partners, and customers with minimal supervision
