Chief EngineerThe Chief Engineer oversees the planning, organization, and development of the maintenance department, including the management of the grounds-keeping team. This role is responsible for coordinating preventive maintenance programs, managing renovation bids, and overseeing the department's financial operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with organizational standards.Chief Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead, schedule, and inspect daily maintenance and grounds operations to ensure high standards in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-houseHire, train, coach, and manage maintenance and grounds staff in compliance with company, state, and federal regulationsConduct performance reviews and motivate the team to meet departmental goalsDevelop and oversee maintenance programs for facilities, equipment, landscaping, and emergency proceduresManage department finances, including budgets, inventory, labor, and supply costsCoordinate renovation projects—scope, budget, contractor oversight, and quality assuranceAct as liaison for special projects, handling subcontractor communication and invoicingMonitor service-related metrics, such as guest satisfaction and TripAdvisor reviewsEnsure compliance with OSHA and safety standardsDelegate tasks with consistent follow-up and documentationRespond to and log maintenance requests from staff and guestsCollaborate with homeowner services as neededOther duties as assignedWhat are we looking for?Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidaysStrong knowledge of building maintenance systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general repairs)Experience leading and developing a maintenance teamCPO certification and pool maintenance experience (preferred)Background in hospitality or condotel environments (preferred)Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesSelf-motivated with a high sense of responsibility and initiativeProficiency with general office PC applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases)Organized, detail-oriented, and reliableCommitted to delivering exceptional guest service and fostering team collaborationExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently interact with guests, team members, leadership, and homeowners.What can you look forward to?All team members enjoy WEEKLY PAY!Qualifying team members may enjoy the following benefits:Medical and Dental insuranceSupplemental insurance plans (ex.
