The Herb Chambers Companiesis looking for a professional and experiencedAutomotive Controllerfor the Boston Metro West area. Candidates must have previous automotive business office experience, and a minimum of 3 years accounting. Responsibilities This position is responsible for the oversight of accounting, asset management and ensuring tax compliance, as well as financial/accounting decisions of the dealership. Oversight of the accounting office personnel along with all aspects of the general ledger and financial statements Partner with the General Manager to manage the financial results of the dealership Responsible for adherence to dealership policies and internal control structure Proactively manage and safeguard company assets Actively manage expense structure and vendors Strong willingness to adhere to established policies and procedures Prepare the daily, weekly, and monthly reports required by the management team Work with the management staff of the dealership to review the data and prepare reports as necessary Qualifications The controller candidate must have previous automotive business office experience.
