Neuro Icu Registered Nurse

Neuro Icu is an 18-bed critical care unit with bedside monitors for hemodynamic monitoring. Neuro Icu serves as a dedicated stroke nursing unit. The unit provides comprehensive care to neuro patients requiring intense monitoring and nursing care. The unit cares for patients with:

• Ischemic stroke including those patients undergoing thrombectomy
• Hemorrhagic stroke including intracranial hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage and patients s/p coil embolization
• Cerebral edema and increased intracranial pressure
• Abnormal electrical activity of the brain for patients with intractable seizure
• Patients with other neurological disorders such as Guillain-Barre' Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, and ALS
• Patients with hemodynamic instability and/or airway and respiratory compromise
