Job Description\n BHS Workforce is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in New York City, New York.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/30/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Requirements:\n \n Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable)\n BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy\n BLS and ACLS certification required\n CNOR certification preferred\n 1+ years of general OR experience required\n Ability to function in both circulating and/or scrub roles across a variety of surgical specialties\n \n Duties:\n \n Provide circulating and/or scrub nursing support during a variety of general surgical procedures (general surgery, orthopedic, GYN, urology, ENT, etc.)\n Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and equipment for surgical cases\n Perform pre-operative assessments and verify surgical site, consent, and procedure per protocol\n Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts before, during, and after procedures\n Monitor patient status and safety throughout surgical procedures\n Manage supplies, equipment, and instrumentation, ensuring availability and proper function\n Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team to ensure smooth case flow\n Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and post-op handoff to PACU staff\n Accurately document intraoperative care, including counts, medications, and patient status, in the EMR\n \n \n BHS Workforce Job ID #38055046.
