Job description -
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Proxmox Virtual Environment (PVE) 9.X
VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter
Migration planning and execution experience from Vmware to Proxmos environment
Linux Administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
Ceph Storage Architecture
Enterprise Networking (VLANs, Routing, Switching, Firewalling)
Virtualization Migration Tools and Methodologies
Disaster Recovery and High Availability Design
Automation using Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform
Storage Technologies (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS)
Preferred Skills IN Kubernetes/OpenShift & Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Roles & Responsibilities
Architecture & Assessment
Conduct detailed assessment of VMware infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, storage &networking
Identify workload dependencies, resource utilization patterns, application criticality, and migration constraints.
Perform gap analysis and recommend target-state Proxmox architecture.
Validate compute, storage, network, backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery requirements
