Position: Social Media Director (or Social Media Manager, based on experience) About Us At Friends of Animals, we are dedicated to advocating for the rights of nonhuman animals, free-living and domestic. Our goal is to free animals from cruelty and institutionalized exploitation around the world. Our work is driven by passion, activism, and a deep commitment to making a meaningful impact. We’re searching for a visionary Social Media Director/Manager to strategically lead our digital presence and elevate our mission’s visibility and engagement. Graphic art and design skills needed. The Role As our Social Media Director/Manager, you will: Develop and implement innovative social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and mobilize supporters in alignment with our mission. Use data analysis and performance metrics to inform decisions, optimize strategies, and identify new opportunities to strengthen our digital presence. Assist with the development of storytelling initiatives to inspire activism/action among our audiences. Oversee the management of social media strategies, ad usage and cross-functional collaborations to achieve impactful results. Stay ahead of trends, platforms, and best practices to keep our strategies innovative, eye-catching, and effective. What We’re Looking For Proven expertise in developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies and design, ideally within a nonprofit organization. Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and measure success. Expertise in content creation, audience engagement, and storytelling for digital platforms. Ideally, you’ll be experienced across the whole spectrum – WordPress, Facebook, Instagram/Reals/Threads, X, TikTok, BlueSky, Mastodon, Email Campaigns, LinkedIn, etc. An aptitude for creating captivating copy to be utilized across digital platforms. Passion for our mission and a deep understanding of how to connect with audiences in meaningful ways. Adherence to a fully vegan lifestyle is highly preferred!
