As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Security Clearance Reception Coordination in Salt Lake City, UT , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.69 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Verify visitor credentials, review access authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry activity, access control systems, alarms, and communications equipment, escalating unusual or unauthorized activity according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence, provide directions and general assistance, and complete required logs, reports, and other documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
