Job Description
LPN - LONG TERM CARE

Schedule

Shift: 4x12 variable; either Days or Nights. Rotation between night/day shifts is not required, with occasional exceptions for urgent staffing needs.

Assignment Details

Duration: 26 or 13 week assignment. Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks, with the possibility of being called off for 1, 12-hour shift per 2 weeks.

Requirements

• Must have an active state license in hand.
• Certifications required: BLS and Alaska Food Worker Certification (to be obtained during orientation). There is a one-time fee of $10 for the certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Long Term Care.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's).
• All requests for time off must be submitted with the initial application; no more than 2 weeks will be considered for RTO on a 26-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to residents in a Long Term Care setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document residents' conditions and progress.
• Assist with daily living activities and ensure a comfortable environment for residents.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize resident care.

Compliance / Notes

All caregivers will obtain certification for the Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation on-site. Facility will provide shuttle transportation to assist with travel arrangements.
