CI Install/Delivery Specialist I

This posting is for the State of Hawaii, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Hawaii Correctional Industries. The position is located on Honolulu, Oahu-Waiawa Correctional Facility Salary: $4,172.00 per month (Full Time, Exempt) Under the general direction of the Community Operations Supervisor, this position supervises and trains incarcerated work crews performing delivery, installation, furniture assembly, moving, and labor service projects. The incumbent coordinates daily assignments, ensures projects are completed safely and professionally, provides instruction on the proper use of tools and equipment, maintains accountability of vehicles, tools, and materials, documents participant performance, and serves as HCI's field representative while promoting workforce readiness and customer service. Education: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Experience: Three (3) years of experience in delivery, installation, moving services, warehousing, logistics, construction, facilities maintenance, furniture assembly, or a related field Knowledge & Abilities: Knowledge of delivery and installation practices, workplace safety, inventory control, customer service, and recordkeeping. Ability to supervise and train incarcerated individuals, communicate effectively, perform physical work, prepare routine reports, and maintain security and accountability License: Valid Hawaii Driver License (Type 3) required. This position is exempt from the State Civil Service Law and is considered temporary in nature. Employment is at will and may be terminated at the discretion of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in accordance with applicable laws and policies.
